Typically, your health insurance is only for the country
you reside in, so when you leave the country, it can be
a good idea to get health insurance. Especially if
you’re older and prone to getting hurt, or have medical
history. Lots of people travel without it too, but you
won’t regret having it when accidents happen.
If you were to get hurt in Peru, medical expenses are
fairly cheap. However, if you have to stay the hospital
longer than a day, it could start costing you $1,000.
not sure what to put here - but information by country
like what if you got hurt there.... will it costs you
thousands or would you just pay like $100 or is it free?
To help the traveler have an idea if they should get
health insurance or not.
